We return to Park’s Motor Group Lowland League action when we meet Cumbernauld Colts at Broadwood Stadium with a 3pm kick off.
Back in August the sides drew 1-1 at Central Park with Sam Newman opening the scoring and Aiden Malcolm equalising in first half stoppage time.
Rhys Walker completes his two game league suspension.
THE OPPOSITION
Last season was the Colts best ever season in the Park’s Motor Group Lowland League finishing in fourth place with 65 points.
After losing most of their squad in the summer it has been a struggle this season with manager David Proctor leaving the club in October. Craig Malcolm was in iterim charge before John Doyle took over in December.
A 3-2 win in their last league game a fortnight ago against Celtic B saw them move off the bottom of the table a point ahead of Broomhill although the Dumbarton side have played three games less. Their four wins this season have come against East Kilbride (2-1), Berwick Rangers (3-0), Hearts B (2-1) and Celtic B (3-2).
They have had five draws against Cowden (1-1), Hearts B (0-0), Gala Fairydean Rovers (4-4), Albion Rovers (1-1) and Bo’ness United (1-1). Their 15 defeats, the most in the league have come against Celtic B (0-1), Gretna 2008 (0-1 & 0-1), Broxburn Athletic (0-3), Civil Service Strollers (3-4 & 1-4), University of Stirling (0-1), East Stirlingshire (0-5), Broomhill (0-3), Tranent (2-3), East Stirlingshire (2-3), Gala Fairydean Rovers (0-6), Linlithgow Rose (1-3) and Caledonian Braves (1-2 &2-3).
In the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup they lost 3-0 to Civil Service Strollers at Broadwood and in the South Challenge Cup they had a home 4-3 win over Linlithgow Rose before losing 2-0 to Arniston Rangers at Newbyres Park.
In the Park’s Motor Group Lowland League Cup they lost 5-0 at home to East Kilbride on Tuesday evening.
PREVIOUS PARK'S MOTOR GROUP LOWLAND LEAGUE MEETINGS
The first Lowland League meeting of the sides saw a 1-0 win at Central Park with David Struthers getting our goal. In the return game at Broadwood future Blue Brazilian Ewan MacPherson scored the only goal of the afternoon as Colts got revenge for the Central Park defeat.
Last season at Central Park we went down 2-0 at Central Park with the ball deflecting off Jack Duncan for the opening and Cole McIntyre getting the other Colts goal.
The return game saw us storm into a two goal half time lead thanks to goals from Jamie Docherty and Matty McDonald. However, in the second half goals from Cole McIntyre, Zak McKay, Daniel Hatfield and Connor McLaren saw Colts run out 4-2 winners.
