Storm Éowyn has struck again, this time carrying Greig Spence back to Central Park for a second spell.
The 32 year old forward had a successful 2015/16 season at the Blue Brazil, netting 19 goals in 43 games, and has now completed a deal until the end of the season. Those at last Saturday's game might have noticed Spence made a second half appearance as a trialist when he replaced Matty McDonald.
We welcome Greig back!
Upon completing his return to Central Park, Greig commented "I'm delighted to sign for Cowdenbeath again. It’s a club that means a lot to me and my family. From a personal perspective the season I had here 9 or 10 years ago was one of the most enjoyable I've had in football.
Getting to play for Dougie Hill was also a massive factor in my decision. He’s an ex team mate who I have the upmost respect for with how much he helped me as a player when I was younger and I know his values and ambition which matches mine.
I’m now looking forward to getting started and using my experience to help the young squad and hopefully score a few goals along the way."
Dougie Hill added "Delighted to get Greig sorted. A player I've played beside at Alloa and Raith, Greig has always had an eye for goal he proved this the last time he was at Central Park! I feel for us and the way we play if we continue to put balls in the box, Greig is the ideal player to put the ball in the net."
