MATCH PREVIEW - BROOMHILL (H)

October opens with mid-week action under the lights as we welcome Broomhill to Central Park for a 7.45pm kick off in the Park’s Motor Group Lowland League.


THE OPPOSITION

While we were beating Rutherglen Glencairn in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup on Saturday, the Broom were crashing out to Highland League Turiff United 1-0 at the Rock.

They had a similar early exit in the South Challenge Cup losing to our neighbours Thornton Hibs.

The Broom have also had a tough start to their league campaign although they moved off the bottom of the table in their last game with their first win of the season against Hearts B at Ainslie Park.

They had a tough opening to the campaign with defeats from Broxburn Athletic (1-3), Celtic B (0-5) and East Kilbride (0-5) before the run was halted with a 1-1 draw against Berwick Rangers.

Since then, they have lost to Caledonian Braves (0-1), Abion Rovers (2-3) and Linlithgow Rose (1-3) and drawing with Civil Service Strollers (1-1).
