With the big kick-off for the new season taking place tomorrow, Dougie Hill has further augmented his playing resources with the signing on loan of Dundee’s young goalkeeping prospect Ruaridh Lynch. Ruaridh (18) is a Fifer and appeared as a trialist in a couple of our pre-season fixtures.
On completion of the deal, Dougie commented, "Ruaridh Is a player that came to our attention. We watched video of him and had him in for training and then he featured for us pre-season. He has shown up well - good size and a great shot stopper. We’re pleased to get the opportunity to play a part in his development. Ruairidh and Josh will push each other for the number 1 spot."
Ruaridh was delighted to get matters finalised and said, "I’m really excited to join the club and looking forward to getting started with the League campaign."
Cowdenbeath FC’s Football Operations Director Colin Nelson also shared his views saying, "Happy to report we have secured Ruaridh on a season long loan from Dundee. He is someone we identified very early and he has first-class attributes. We now have 2 excellent goalkeepers at the club. My grateful thanks to Scott Robertson and Alan Combe at Dundee for making the move happen."
