Olly Is On Board

Making his bow for Cowdenbeath FC in our closed door friendly at Ainslie Park on Tuesday was 17-year old midfielder Olly Whyte. Olly joins us on a loan deal from Motherwell which was finalised yesterday. We are of course delighted to have Olly with us and are most grateful for Motherwell's agreement to let Cowdenbeath FC play a part in Olly's development for the ultimate benefit of all parties involved. Olly said after concluding the paperwork, "I’m looking forward to getting started playing competitive games and gaining more first team experience."

Cowdenbeath manager Dougie Hill commented, "Delighted to get Olly in. He will add great competition in midfield and has really impressed me during the training sessions he's been in with us. He absolutely fits the profile of what I'm looking for in my midfielders."

Cowdenbeath FC's Football Operations Co-ordinator Colin Nelson added, ''Great news we have managed to secure Olly who is very highly regarded at Motherwell and already made his first team debut during their pre season abroad recently. Olly is a box to box midfielder with great energy and physicality. He will be a great addition to the squad and my thanks to Motherwell for allowing us to aid in his development."
