Southgate Commits To Cowden

For season 2024/25, well-known Cowden fan, Scott Southgate, will take up the voluntary post as Cowdenbeath FC’s Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO). The role of the SLO is essentially to act as a bridge between the club and its supporters via a two-way flow of information on topical issues.

The SLO helps enhance communication between the fans and the club e.g. in respect of decisions made by the club or by putting forward the fans’ viewpoint in respect of any matters raised with him. The role of the SLO is to facilitate dialogue, not lead it. So the SLO works with all supporter groups as well as individual fans.

So if supporters have any issues that they wish to raise Scott can be your first point of contact. Scott’s appointment as SLO is targeted to help improve communication throughout the Club, both internally and externally. The Board of Directors of Cowdenbeath FC wish Scott every success as he seeks to establish this new role for the benefit of our fans.
