It's our second successive University Challenge as we head to East Peffermill with a 3pm kick off.
Our previous meeting with the students back in August saw us run out 7-1 winners with goals from Josh Jack (3), Dougie Hill, Adam MacDonald and Lucas Berry (2) with Joe Aitken coming off the bench to get a consolation for the Uni.
LAST TIME OUT
Last Saturday we twice come from behind to draw 2-2 with University of Stirling at Central Park with goals from Matty McDonald and Daryl Healy who hit his third goal in two games.
THE OPPOSITION
Once again it has been a tough season for our hosts who sit bottom of the league with five points from their 27 games played three points behind Gretna 2008 who have played a game more.
Their solitary win came against their rivals in the battle against relegation when they beat Bryan Gilfillan’s side 3-2 at East Peffermill back in October. Their other two points came in 2-2 draws against both Linlithgow Rose and Albion Rovers.
The game with Rovers in early December was the last time they avoided defeat and they are now on a run 11 successive defeats in the Lowland League and Lowland League Cup where they bowed out to a 3-0 defeat from Cumbernauld Colts.
In the league they have lost to Civil Service Strollers (3-4 & 1-3), Tranent (2-6 & 1-6), Broomhill (0-4), Bo’ness United (2-4 & 1-3), Berwick Rangers (1-3 & 0-2), East Kilbride (0-9 & 4-7), Gala Fairydean Rovers (1-2 & 0-5), East Stirlingshire (0-3 & 1-3), Caledonian Braves (1-3), Cumbernauld Colts (2-3), Celtic B (0-4 & 1-3), Hearts B (0-4 & 0-12), University of Stirling (1-4) and Linlithgow Rose (1-5)
In the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup they lost 2-4 at home to Dunbar United and in the South Challenge Cup Berwick Rangers ran out 4-1 winners at East Peffermill.
