For our final game of 2023, we welcome East Stirlingshire to Central Park with a 3pm kick off.
Tuesday’s last gasp win over the Shire saw us consolidate ninth place in the table keeping pace with the teams immediately above us Linlithgow Rose, Civil Service Strollers and University of Stirling.
The Shire remained in 16th place four points behind Berwick Rangers and ten points ahead of Gretna 2008.
LAST TIME OUT
It was a good win over this afternoon’s opponents on Tuesday as we won at The Falkirk Stadium for the first time!
Ciaren Chalmers and Zac Butterworth twice had us ahead only for Ynyr Liddell and Callum Murray quickly equalising on both occasions.
However, three minutes into stoppage time Butterworth grabbed a dramatic winner with his second goal of the afternoon.
THE OPPOSITION
The Shire will be looking for revenge following Tuesday’s defeat and will be looking at their away record which shows that they have recorded three of their four wins this season on the road beating Gretna 2008 (4-1), Edinburgh University (3-0) and Celtic B (2-1) on their travels while they have also drawn with Civil Service Strollers (0-0) and Cumbernauld Colts (1-1) collecting 11 of their 16 points away from home.
