MATCH PREVIEW - ALBION ROVERS (A)

PostedDecember 23, 2023

This afternoon we head west for the first of our two Christmas games as we face Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill with a 3pm kick off.

Last Friday night's win over Hearts B saw us reach the half way stage in the Lowland League and we sit in 11th place with 23 points from the opening 18 games.

Rovers sit in 15th place in the table with 20 points from their 15 games played so far.

LAST TIME OUT

We beat Hearts B 2-1 under the lights at Central Park week with goals from Robbie McNab and Gregor Jordan in the first half being enough to see off the high -flying Wee Jambos.

THE OPPOSITION

Rovers boss Sandy Clark returned to the Falkirk Stadium to face his old club East Stirlingshire last Saturday and the Shire won their first home game since he left in March running out 3-2 winners.

So far in their 15 games they have the average record of having won, drawn and lost five games.

In the previous meeting between the clubs this season we fought out a goal less game at Central Park with keeper Ross Connelly pulling off a wonder save to deny Dylan Duncan in stoppage time.
