We return to Central Park this afternoon as we welcome Caledonian Braves with a 3pm kick off.
LAST TIME OUT
A goal early in the second half saw Tranent run out 1-0 winners in our league game at Foresters Park on Wednesday night which saw us drop to 11th place in the table.
THE OPPOSITION
The Braves leapfrogged us in the table following a 1-0 win over Gretna 2008 at Raydale Park which was their fourth successive win with three of them coming in the Lowland League.
So far they have won five games against Berwick Rangers (1-0), Gretna 2008 (4-0 and 1-0), Edinburgh University (3-1) and Gala Fairydean Rovers (2-1), with six defeats from Celtic B (1-5), Broomhill (0-2), Linlithgow Rose (0-1), University of Stirling (0-1), Civil Service Strollers (0-1), and Bo’ness United (1-2) while they have had two draws against Hearts B and East Stirlingshire with both ending 1-1.
In the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup they lost 2-1 to Fraserburgh but they have had wins over Girvan (3-2) and East Stirlingshire (1-0) in the South Challenge Cup to reach the last 32.
