MATCH PREVIEW - EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY (H)

This afternoon we welcome Edinburgh University to Central Park with a 3pm kick off in the first of two home games this week.

Last season the students were the only side that we beat twice in the Lowland League winning 3-0 at Central Park and 5-0 at East Peffermill.


LAST TIME OUT

On Tuesday Calum Elliot rotated his squad for our Fife Cup tie with Dundonald Bluebell which ended 4-4 with us winning 5-4 in the penalty shoot-out.


THE OPPOSITION

Although currently pointless after four games, they have been able to find the back of the net with Lewis Hendry scoring five of their seven goals making him second top scorer in the league along with MaKenzie Kirk of Hearts and one behind Billy Mortimer of Cumbernauld Colts.

The season opened with a 4-3 home defeat from Civil Service Strollers who grabbed a last -minute winner, and was followed up by a 6-2 defeat at Tranent and 0-4 at Broomhill.

Last Saturday the led league leaders Bo’ness United but eventually went down 4-2 while in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup they lost 1-0 to Harthill Royal.
