Jamie Docherty Signs

Please welcome new signing Jamie Docherty to Central Park following his transfer from East Kilbride.

The left sided midfielder is no stranger to Calum Elliot having played under him at Tranent Juniors, where Jamie was prior to moving to East Kilbride. Jamie started his career at Hutchison Vale before becoming part of the youth setup at St Johnstone. He then signed for Livingston where he had a loan spell at EoS side LTHV. Jamie continued his career at Bonnyrigg Rose after leaving Livingston before his move to Tranent.

The 23 year old finished Tranent's top goalscorer in the season they were promoted to the Lowland League, overcoming Darvel and St Cuthbert Wanderers in the Play Off.

After signing Jamie said "Buzzing to get started. Looking forward to working with the gaffer again after a successful period at Tranent together. It's a massive season for the club and there’s been a good few additions to the squad so far and I’m sure we will have a successful season."

The gaffer also commented "I’m delighted to finally get Jamie signed at the club. His record working with myself is excellent and he’s coming to the club with a point to prove due to circumstances out with his control in the past year. He is an outstanding talent who the supporters will enjoy watching."
