Danny Lennon was busy in the transfer market this week with the addition of Dunfermline Athletic prospect Scott McBride (pictured) closely followed by the departure of John Gemmell to Montrose.
Lennon made his second signing of the summer when he secured long-term target McBride on a 6-month loan deal and the player trained with the squad tonight.
The 19-year old left-sided attacking player made his debut for Dunfermline against Hearts in the CIS Cup two years ago and spent a successful spell on loan with Arbroath during 2007/08.
"I am delighted to add Scott to the squad", said Lennon.
"I have been tracking him for over 6 months and was very impressed with his performance in the reserve game against Dunfermline towards the end of the season.
"He is a player with a bit of pace and is very direct. He has a hunger to do well in the game and I'm sure the move will prove beneficial for both parties."
Lennon is looking to add further new faces to his squad but also has high hopes for his talented youngsters:
"We have a group of youngsters who will be pushing hard for a starting place this season. They are in on merit and know they will get an opportunity if they impress.
"I'm excited by their potential and I know they they will not let anyone down.
"I'm also in talks with a number of players and hope to add one or two over the coming days. I only want players who are 100% committed and will go that extra mile for the club."
Meanwhile, John Gemmell has moved to Montrose for an undisclosed fee after the Club knocked back three previous bids. The big striker joined from Albion Rovers last summer and found the net 14 times. (16 July 2009)
