It's our final Lowland League away day of the season as we make the short trip over the Forth to face The Spartans at Ainslie Park with a 3pm kick off.
Last Saturday, following a 1-0 win at Tranent, Dougie Samuel’s side confirmed their place in the Pyramid Play Off where they will meet either Buckie Thistle or Brechin City. However, they will be looking to clinch their third Lowland League title outright and depending on other results they can achieve that goal this afternoon.
The long serving Samuel has been in charge of the Ainslie Park sides two previous title wins in 2014 and 2018 a joint best managerial record along with Gary Jardine who achieved back to back titles with Edinburgh City in 2014 and 2015.
Our previous meeting back in October saw Spartans run out 1-0 winners at Central Park with Sean Brown scoring just after half time.
After missing the games against Dalbeattie Star and Civil Service Strollers due to suspension Stuart Love returns to the squad but Sam Newman misses out as he can’t play against his parent club.
