MATCH PREVIEW - RANGERS B (H)

It’s the start of two successive home fixtures this afternoon when we welcome league leaders Rangers B to Central Park with a 3pm kick off.

The Wee Gers sit a point ahead of Tranent Juniors following a 2-1 win over Gretna 2008 at the Dumbarton Stadium on Tuesday night. David McCallum’s side had to dig deep to secure the three points with Robbie Ure getting his second goal of the night in the final minute after Lewis Turner had equalised midway through the second half from the penalty spot.

The Wee Gers are currently on a five game winning run and should provide a good test this afternoon as we look to maintain our four game unbeaten run at Central Park since we lost to The Spartans in early October.

Both of our most recent signings Scott Walker and Dan Watt had scoring debuts at East Peffermill in the 5-0 win over Edinburgh University as we continued our unbeaten start to 2023 and both will be looking to make their mark on home soil.

Our previous meeting back in August saw us take a 2-0 lead early in the second half with goals from Aiden Gilmartin and Scott Sinclair, however Charlie McCann bagged a brace before Connor Young sealed the points for the Wee Gers with a long range strike two minutes from time.
