Manager Maurice Ross was full of praise for the team following the 5-0 win over Edinburgh University. Speaking on the new signings, Ross said, "The new signings are efficient in their play. Scott is clearly a good footballer who needs fitness and love, we will provide both. Dan showed instantly what he is - a bright footballer who goes under the radar but is extremely effective. He came on for a half hour and not only assisted the penalty, but also scored a beautiful goal."

Ross was also impressed by the team's loyalty to the system and discipline, stating, "Our team was so disciplined and loyal to the system that it made me smile after the game. Fans may not see it just yet, but we are on the way up. I can smell it."

When asked about the biggest factor in securing the win, Ross credited the improved roster saying, "We've won 7 out of 9 points with three clean sheets, and the only difference is that we now have better players at our disposal. Our substitutes make an impact rather than weakening the team when they come in."

Finally, Ross talked about the team unity, "The team spirit is fantastic and driven by the whole squad. We have no big timers here, just a humble and hardworking bunch. I love coaching these lads!"
