Cowdenbeath Football Club has two players nominated in the four man shortlist for the PFA Scotland 2nd Division Player of the Year for 2009/10. Forwards Gareth Wardlaw and Paul McQuade have both been nominated by their fellow professionals for the part they have played in a remarkable season for the Blue Brazil.
"I am delighted for Gareth and Paul", commented Danny Lennon.
"They have scored important goals this season and the nomination is a great reflection of the efforts of the full squad."
Wardlaw and McQuade are joined on the shortlist by Rory McAllister (Brechin City) and Bryan Prunty (Alloa Athletic). The winners will be announced and presented with their awards at a ceremony at the Hilton Glasgow on the 2nd May
The news follows hot on the heels of Danny Lennon's manager of the month award for March and is further recognition of the success achieved by the players and coaching staff over the last couple of seasons.
