Signing News

Cowden boss Maurice Ross is remaining active on the signing front. The paperwork was completed before our match v Hearts B to sign midfielder Stuart Love who had appeared for us as a trialist v Gala Fairydean Rovers last Saturday. Stuart adds experience to the Cowden side as well as energy and drive in the midfield. A schoolboy internationalist, Stuart started out with Stenhousemuir. For the last 4 seasons Stuart has played with Oakley United. He skippered their side to the East of Scotland 1st Division Conference B title last season plus was the Oakley Committee’s player of the year, their Players’ Player of the Year and the club’s top scorer.

We also recently brought Jonny Jarron in to join us at Central Park and the 21 year old defender made his bow at Meadowbank v his previous club FC Edinburgh. Prior to joining Edinburgh City (as they then were) Jonny had been with the Spartans.

We welcome both players to the Blue Brazil and look forward to cheering them on this season.
