Subsea Pressure Controls Become Sponsors

Posted July 22, 2022

On the eve of embarking on our Lowland League campaign for 2022/23, Cowdenbeath FC are both delighted and privileged to announce that Subsea Pressure Controls have stepped in to generously support the club. We can now confirm that Subsea Pressure Controls have become the Club’s official sponsor for the season ahead.

SPC of course for several years were Cowden’s jersey sponsors and owner Neil Fentie is a Director of Cowdenbeath FC. Neil and SPC are highly pleased to be involved in supporting the club once more via this new sponsorship arrangement.

Subsea Pressure Controls have enjoyed ongoing success since Neil Fentie founded the business in Singapore in 2002. SPC are firmly established as a provider to operators and contractors in the offshore oil and gas market, the company has a strong and proven brand in Southeast Asia, working alongside some of the world’s majors on significant projects. Subsea Pressure Controls specializes in the repair, refurbishment, manufacture, and sale of drilling and well control equipment, as well as related industry activities.

In January 2022, the business moved into its new facility in Aberdeen, where the river Dee spills into the North Sea, alongside some of the industry powerhouses that have made Aberdeen home. ‘Neil Fentie, of course, originally hails from Aberdeen so this is a rather unique story - to now come back to Aberdeen and create a new arm of the business. Usually, companies start here and move abroad,’ said SPC Director Keith Skinner.

Chairman Donald Findlay paid warm tribute to the support provided by Neil and SPC – "We face a number of fresh challenges in a very different environment so this is very much an hour of need as we seek to regroup and bounce back. Subsea Pressure Controls have been wonderful supporters of Cowdenbeath FC over the years and I really cannot thank them enough on behalf of everyone at Central Park for the tremendous backing they have given us. I, and the Board of the club, are truly grateful to Neil and Subsea Pressure Controls. Sentiments I am sure that will be shared by all our Supporters."
