Another New Man for Cowden as Sam Signs

Cowdenbeath manager Maurice Ross today concluded the first of the club’s loan deals for season 2022/23. Coming in to Central Park from Spartans is 21 year old midfield man Sam Newman.

Sam previously was with Edinburgh City between 2017 and 2021 where he demonstrated his versatility by also playing in the left back role.

Boss Ross commented after completing today’s signing, "Sam is a versatile player who plays on the left hand side. I saw him last season playing for Spartans and he stood out for me then. I think he will be a good fit as regards what we need in the side for the season ahead. I am pleased that we were able to come to a suitable arrangement with Spartans and Sam."
