After another frustrating one goal loss on Tuesday night, we go again this afternoon when we welcome Stenhousemuir to Central Park with a 3pm kick off.
Tuesday night’s defeat from Forfar was our sixth in succession with five of those being by a one goal margin and very much a case of so close but so far, and following Albion Rovers goal less draw with Kelty on Wednesday night we now find ourselves eight points behind the Coatbridge side.
Our record against today’s visitors has been a favourable one with four points yielded from our trips to Ochilview, following a 1-1 draw and a 2-0 win, but we of course lost at home to the Warriors earlier in this season. That 2-0 Central Park win was the launch pad for Stephen Swift’s side who are now on the fringes of gaining a promotion play off spot.
Their cause was boosted last night with Edinburgh City losing 2-1 at home to Stranraer and Swift heads to Fife today knowing a win would see his side leapfrog City into fourth spot.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from Wee Jimmies we are once again able to offer free admission to those aged 16 and under. The scheme was a great success against Elgin when we beat the Moray side.
