It’s the start of a busy week with two away games and we kick off at Forthbank Stadium with a 7.45PM kick off.
The two previous meetings of the sides so far has seen each side win at home with the Binos running out 4-0 winners on our last visit back in September. Goals from Jack Leitch and Dylan Mackin had the Binos two up after 34 minutes and subs Dale Carrick and Sean Heaver came off the bench to score twice in the closing seven minutes to inflict our heaviest defeat of the campaign.
Since then our hosts have been on a downward trajectory with only two wins and five draws in their subsequent 18 league games which leaves then in eighth place on 27 points. By the time they visited Central Park in early December they had been on a run of five games without a win and a goal from Fraser Mullen just after the break gave Maurice Ross his first win in charge of us.
That defeat saw the end of manager Kevin Rutkiewicz who left the club the following Tuesday and he was replaced by former East Fife boss Darren Young. So far things haven’t gone to plan for the new manager with only a New Year win at Stenhousemuir and draws against Stranraer, Annan and Forfar.
On Saturday they went down 1-0 at home to Stenhousemuir with Adam Brown scoring for the Warriors while Marc Laird was sent off and will be suspended for tonight’s game.
