MATCH PREVIEW - STIRLING ALBION (A)

Posted February 5, 2022

It’s a second successive away game as we head to Forthbank to face Stirling Albion with a 3pm kick off.

In the previous meetings this season both sides have won their home fixture. Back in September we went down to a 4-0 defeat in Stirling with Jack Leitch, Dylan Mackin, Dale Carrick and Sean Heaver getting the goals.

The return at Central Park in December saw a 1-0 win with Fraser Mullen getting the goal just after the break which saw Maurice Ross gain his first win for us. Days later Binos boss Kevin RutKiewicz leave the club and he was subsequently replaced by Darren Young.

After being early season promotion contenders, the Binos have lost nine of their last 14 games - one of them being in the Scottish Cup against East of Scotland League side Tranent.

Following our win at Central Park Stirling have won just once a 2-1 derby win over Stenhousemuir at Ochilview while their last home win in the league came in our September defeat. Despite this poor run they remain just four points off fourth place Edinburgh City.

New signings Alex Ferguson, from St Johnstone, and Scott Dunn from Queen of the South both join the travelling squad.
