We make our second visit of the season to The Reigart Stadium as we face Albion Rovers with a 3pm kick off.
Our previous visit to Coatbridge in September saw Rovers run out 2-1 winners. Max Wright had given them the lead before Ross Clarke equalised against his old side on the stroke of half time. However, with eight minutes remaining Kyle Docherty grabbed a winner.
The return game at Central Park saw a 0-0 draw with Cammy Binnie saving Liam Buchanan’s spot kick while in the last minute Bobby Barr had a goal chopped off.
Rovers remain a place and nine points ahead of us in the league table and we head west knowing that three points are vital in our quest to get off the bottom of the table. The Coatbridge men followed up their Central Park draw with a 3-2 win over Stranraer on Boxing Day and have since lost 2-1 to Stenhousemuir at Cliftonhill and on their last outing at Elgin a fortnight ago they came away with a 1-1 draw.
There are two former Cowden men in the Rovers squad captain Aron Lynas and Blair Malcolm who was recently signed from neighbours East Kilbride.
Recent signing Andy Barrowman could return to the squad after being injured on his debut against Annan and he will be joined by Craig McDowell and Joe Moore.
