A double from top scorer Paul McQuade secured a convincing home win as Cowden kept up the pressure at the top of the league.
However the home side had to recover from an early setback after Jordan Whyte gave Clyde the lead with less than a minute on the clock.
The Blue Brazil showed their mettle, with Darren McGregor outstanding in the middle of the park, to battle back and the equaliser finally arrived on 32 minutes after a period of sustained pressure. The Clyde defence failed to clear their lines and John Dempster nicked the ball from the keeper for McQuade to scramble home from close range.
Dempster and McQuade linked up to set up Jon Robertson (64) for a tap in for the second and McQuade (72) sealed the points with a point blank header from a quality Mark Ramsay delivery.
