MATCH PREVIEW – RAITH ROVERS (H)

After a 487 day wait we finally welcome fans back to Central Park as we open our Premier Sports Cup Group D games with a Fife derby against Raith Rovers.

The match will see five new and not so new faces in Gary Bollan’s squad – Kyle Hutton of course spent the closing months of last season on loan before making a permanent move from Lowland League East Kilbride.

Another player returning to the side is Liam Buchanan who returns 14 years after moving to Partick Thistle, his last game at Central Park in the blue in April 2007 saw him score twice in a 3-1 win over Ayr United.

Making their competitive debuts will be keeper Cammy Gill who made the short move along the road from neighbours Dunfermline, Craig Thomson who regularly played against us for Edinburgh City and Bobby Barr who arrived in midweek from Brechin City.

Both Buchanan and Barr of course had spells with this weekends visitors.

Rovers will provide a stern test for our new looks side having finished third in last seasons Championship before losing to Dundee in the Play Off Final.
