With the countdown to the new season well advanced - just a couple of days until the big kick off - we are pleased to now confirm that Cowden manager Gary Bollan has today secured the signature of Bobby Barr for the season ahead.

Midfield man Barr first established himself with Albion Rovers - he was PFA Division 3 Player of the Year whilst at Cliftonhill. He went on then to help Livingston secure consecutive titles in the 3rd and 2nd Divisions. Since then Bobby has been prominent with a number of clubs including East Fife, Morton, Raith Rovers and Dumbarton. Last season he of course featured for Brechin City and fans will recall the opportunist goal he scored v Cowden at Central Park.

Boss Bollan was delighted to add the experienced and talented midfield man with an eye for goal to his squad. We thus extend a very warm welcome to Bobby from everyone at Central Park.
