A late goal from super sub Johnny Dempster earned the Blue Brazil a well deserved share of the spoils against league leaders Alloa Athletic.

Game between these two have been incredibly tight this season and it was no different on this occasion but the point keeps Danny Lennon's team within touching distance of top place.

The 1st half was a close affair with neither side able to break the deadlock but Alloa Athletic took the lead shortly after the interval, slightly against the run of the play, thanks to a strike from Brown Ferguson (53).

Lennon put on three subs in an attempt to find a way to breakdown a stuffy Alloa side and the goal eventually came with six minutes remaining. This incredible team does not know when it's beaten and sub Dempster was in the right place to fire home from close range.

Cowden had their opponents on the ropes for the final five minutes and Darren McGregor came within inches of winning all three points but the game ended with a hard fought point apiece.
