Jimmy Stirling

It is our very sad duty to report the passing of one of Cowden’s most long-standing fans, Jimmy Stirling. Many long time Cowden supporters will warmly recall Jimmy who for decades was an absolute fixture in the stand cheering on his beloved Cowdenbeath FC. In later years, he became an armchair supporter of the Blue Brazil. Indeed we recall his 80th birthday celebration back in 2011 up in Stenhouse Street when he had a party for his family, friends and carers. The club was so very pleased to provide some gifts to Jimmy on that auspicious occasion and Jim was highly delighted with his new supporters scarf, souvenir mug and signed team photo card.

Condolences go out to all of Jim’s family and friends from everyone at Central Park and all of his fellow fans – Jim really was a loyal, true blue Cowden follower all his days and he will be greatly missed.
