MATCH PREVIEW - MONTROSE (H)

Posted April 8, 2018

We conclude our quartet of home games on Tuesday night when we welcome Montrose to Central Park with a 7.45 pm kick off.

The match was originally postponed in early March and once again last Tuesday due to the weather.

The Gable Endies arrive at Central Park as the current form team in the division with 13 points from their last six games with the only points being dropped in that period coming from a 3-0 home defeat from Clyde and a 2-2 draw at Berwick.

That impressive form has seen Stewart Petrie's side stick with leaders Peterhead and only goal difference see's the Blue Toon top of the table with both sides on the 67 points mark.

Since their defeat from Clyde Montrose have went onto score eight goals in their subsequent two games beating Edinburgh City 3-0 at Links Park then trouncing third place Stirling Albion 5-0 at Forthbank with former Central Parker Lewis Milne grabbing a hat trick going one goal better than the week before against City and has now taken his tally to seven goals since signing from Forfar in January.

The three previous meetings have swung in the Angus sides favour with two wins and a draw. Back in August a Sean Dillon goal was enough to secure a 1-0 win at Links Park and the return game at Central Park in November saw Terry Masson hit a brace along with Craig Johnston in a 3-1 win with Robbie Buchanan getting our goal.

Buchanan was once again on target in the New Year game at Links Park cancelling out an opener from Gary Fraser in the 1-1 draw.

Kyle Miller misses the game as he serves a one game suspension.
