MEETINGS
It has been agreed that the club will call an Extraordinary General Meeting of its shareholders (provisionally to be Monday 5 March 2018) and then hold a fans/public meeting a few days later to focus on the way ahead for the club under the banner of ‘Honour the Past, Ensure a Future’.
DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
Raith Rovers fielded a trialist v Stirling Albion in a match that ended as a 1-1 draw. The correct paperwork though had not been received by the SFA and thus Raith Rovers have been hit with a suspended fine and the match result has been amended to a 3-0 win for Stirling. Cowden’s match v Raith will now be pushed back as the club now has a 1st team match scheduled for week commencing 26 February.
FIFE CUP
Date of Fife Cup semi final match at Central Park has been provisionally agreed – just awaiting final confirmation.
MEDICAL RETURN FOR SFA LICENSING
The club completed its submission to the SFA and are seeking bronze status in this licensing area. Our new club doctor Lucy Jones was involved in the return for the first time and there are far-reaching requirements for the club – 5 people have been put through Sports First Aid courses by the Club in December as a qualified Sports First aider must be present at each home match (including development team), Club Doctor must have a sports first aid qualification, we must have fully qualified physio, defibrillator (at matches and training), medical equipment (extensive requirements), etc
TREATMENT TABLE
Joe McGovern is ruled out for the rest of the season due to a cruciate injury. Jordan Leslie too is ruled out for the immediate future as he is recovering from injuries received in an accident (non-footballing).
ASSISTANT KITMAN
An opportunity has arisen for someone to assist Robert our kitman on a Saturday at home and away games as this is an especially busy day. Anyone who would be interested in assisting would ideally hold a driving licence to potentially also help Robert on training nights which are twice a week. The kitman role is a busy and demanding one and an assistant would help enhance the smooth running of the club plus gain an insight into the inner workings of a football club. Anyone interested in helping Robert or if you know someone who would be interested then please let Scott Southgate or Director Tom Ewing know.
SUSPENSIONS
Fraser Mullen and Jamie Pyper are suspended for tomorrow’s match.
David Cox is suspended for the following week’s game.
