Sportsound at Central Park - Kickstart

This Thursday Sportsound on BBC Radio Scotland will broadcast live from Central Park between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. The Thursday night Scottish football programme regularly highlights community work undertaken by Scottish football clubs.

This week they will broadcast live from Cowdenbeath FC and feature the Kickstart programme which is a joint venture involving Cowdenbeath FC, Police Scotland and local schools. The Kickstart programme is a weekly programme of visits and challenges designed to enhance communication and social awareness. Included are weekly sports sessions with Cowdenbeath community coaches Dean Ewing and Callum Honeyman which assist in developing mental and physical fitness and team working skills.

The Sportsound team will host the usual Thursday night live football programme with guest panellists and there will be several spots featuring information on the Kickstart programme from the team and participants. Cowden manager Gary Bollan will be present at the ceremony and may also feature on the programme.
