MATCH PREVIEW - ELGIN CITY (A)

After our Betfred Cup group games we now move onto out Ladbrokes League Two fixtures and start where we ended last seasons regular fixtures with the long trip north to face Jim Weir's side.

The goal less draw in May proved to be of no use to either side as we finished bottom of the table and faced our play off with East Kilbride while City missed out on the League One play offs.

The Betfred Cup campaign proved to be a disappointment for Weir's side who lost their four games, with only Buckie and Stranraer suffering a similar fate.

Things started badly with a 6-0 defeat at Dunfermline while Hearts secured a narrow 1-0 win at Borough Briggs. A return to the Kingdom saw East Fife run out 3-2 winners while Peterhead won 3-0 at Borough Briggs.

Recent signing Matthew McInally will miss the game due to a one game suspension which carries over from his time at Partick Thistle last season, although new loan signing from Hibernian Ben Stirling goes straight into the squad.
