Blue Brazi back at work

Posted June 29, 2009

It was back to work for the Blue Brazil last week as the squad returned for pre-season training on Tuesday and Thursday night. The squad also took part in a double session over the weekend at Beath High and new signing Gareth Wardlaw joined up with his new team mates along with Kenny Adamson and Brian Fairbairn, who have both recovered from their respective injuries that forced the pair to miss the end of last season.

“It has been a short break for us but it was great to get back out on the training field. The boys have looked after themselves and are in good spirits”, said Danny Lennon.

“I am still looking to add to the squad and have targets in mind. In addition, we will have a number of trialists training with us over the summer.”

The pre-season friendly programme kicks off on Saturday with a run out against Partick Thistle at Peffermill. Three further games have been fixed up and Lennon is hoping to confirm two more fixtures shortly.

Lennon will also take his squad to St. Andrews for a weekend training camp in mid July as the preparations for the new season - which starts on Saturday 25th July with a visit to face Peterhead in the 1st round of the MG ALBA CUP - hot up.
