MATCH PREVIEW - ELGIN CITY (H)

Posted March 13, 2017

Tuesday night see's our new management team of Gary Locke, Billy Brown and Neil Irvine take charge of the side for the first time as we host Elgin at Central Park with a 7.45 p.m. kick off.

The match was of course due to take place in early February but was called off just an hour before kick off due to heavy rain. In our previous games with Jim Weir's side this season the Moray men have won on both occassions.

On the opening day of the league campaign a goal from Chris McLeish was enough to give them a 1-0 win at Central Park which was followed by a 3-1 win at Borough Briggs in October with Brian Cameron, Archie McPhee and Shane Sutherland putting the home side well ahead before Brian Ross pulled back a late consolation.

Elgin have been a regular fixture in the top four positions so far this season but just a point from their last three games has seen them drop down to fourth spot following Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Annan who leapfrogged them in the table.

Down at the other end we of course got a 3-1 win at Berwick and our first points of the year which saw us close the gap on bottom side Clyde to five points, although Edinburgh City moved into third bottom spot after a useful 2-1 win at leaders Forfar with former Central Parker Derek Riordan opening the scoring for them.

After being suspended on Saturday Kyle Miller will once again be eligible for selection for the game.
