MATCH PREVIEW - BERWICK RANGERS (A)

Posted March 11, 2017

Saturday afternoon see's us head over the border to meet Berwick Rangers for the fourth and final time this season with the usual 3 p.m. kick off at Shielfield Park.

Three wins and a draw in their last five games have seen John Coughlin's side move into seventh place with 31 points from 26 games with their latest win coming at Shielfield on Tuesday night when they beat Clyde 4-3.

The previous games this season against Berwick have gone mostly in their favour. Back in September a brace from Steven Thomson saw a 2-0 Berwick win at Central Park while in November we got a 1-1 draw with Cameron Muirhead scoring a last gasp equaliser after Greg Rutherford had given the home side a half time lead.

Berwick also ended the game with nine men after Thomson and Notman were both sent off, while Dean Brett saw a penalty come off the underside of the bar.

The second game at Central Park in January saw another Berwick win with Thomson once again scoring late on.

A run of six defeats of course saw Liam Fox leave Central Park on Monday night and while new boss Gary Locke will watch the game from the stand coaches Neil Hastlings and Burton O'Brien, who took training this week, will be in the dug out.

Fraser Mullen is eligible for selection after being banned last week but Kyle Miller is suspended and misses the match.
