Cowdenbeath FC sends its heartiest congratulations to one of the most well-known members of its Supporters Club. Andy Murray has been an honorary member of the Cowdenbeath Supporters Club along with his brother Jamie and grandfather Roy Erskine for a number of years.

It is now exactly 50 years on from when Roy played for the Blue Brazil and we are absolutely delighted to now hail his grandson as World Number One and as the UK’s greatest sportsman. Andy Murray is an example to all as to the rewards that come from dedication, commitment and of course great skill. He has indeed reached the pinnacle of sporting achievement. Our congratulations go to Jamie Murray too following all his recent great successes in doubles and the award of an OBE.
