Posted September 24, 2016
We make our second trip of the season to Gayfield Park on Saturday when we face Arbroath in a Ladbrokes League Two fixture with a 3 p.m. kick off. Back in July in our Betfred Cup tie we ran out 2-0 winners with goals from Nickolay Toderov on his debut and Craig Johnston, who is now of course on loan at Spartans.
Dick Campbell's side are currently sitting n fourth place in the table, three points ahead of us, and last week drew 1-1 at home to Annan. That was their third 1-1 draw in the opening six games following similar results against Berwick and Montrose.
Their other six points have come from wins against Elgin (1-0) and Stirling Albion (5-3) while the only loss so far was at Clyde (2-3).
New signing Jamie Pyper will come into the Cowden squad after his recent re-signing. Arbroath have former Central Parkers Liam Callaghan and Josh Thomson in the side along with Martin Scott who played as a trialist for us in a few pre season friendlies.
