'Toorie' returned to Central Park earlier this season after signing from Forfar Athletic. The return of the former club captain and 'Hall of Fame' member has coincided with Cowden's remarkable journey to the summit of the Second Division. The midfielder originally signed for the Blue Brazil in 1994 and spent ten years at Central Park - including leading the team to promotion in 2000/01 - before departing for Brechin City. 'Toorie' made his 300th league appearance for the club on Saturday and was the captain as the team won 2-0 away to Peterhead. He is now only behind fellow Blue Brazil legend Ray Allan in the all time appearances chart.
