MATCH PREVIEW - AIRDRIEONIANS (H)

Posted December 19, 2015

Saturday see's the start of three consecutive home games as we welcome Airdrieonians to Central Park with a 3 p.m. kick off.

The Diamonds sit in fifth place in Ladbrokes League 1 five points ahead of ourselves with both sides having played 16 matches so far.

In the previous meeting this season at the Excelsior Stadium Airdrie ran out 3-2 winners in September following a late comeback. David Cox had given the hosts the lead but a penalty from Robbie Buchanan and Andy Murdoch's first and only goal for us so far had given us the lead.

However George Hunter levelled the game and Liam Watt got what proved to be the winner with nine minutes to go.

MATCHBALL SPONSOR: CRAIG BENNETT.

COWDEN HOME FORM

We are currently six league games unbeaten at home, seven in all competitions. Our only league defeat at Central Park came on the opening day of the season when Stranraer won 2-1.

Our last home game saw a 1-1 draw with Arbroath in the William Hill Scottish Cup at the end of last month.
