MATCH PREVIEW - FORFAR ATHLETIC (A).

Posted December 11, 2015

Following our Scottish Cup heroics at Arbroath on Monday night we make a quick return to Angus on Saturday afternoon when we face Forfar Athletic at Station Park with a 3 p.m. kick off.

Our previous meeting with the Loons was back on 19th September when Dick Campbell's side went into the match as league leaders but goals from Gordon Smith and Greig Spence either side of Gavin Swankies equaliser gave us a 2-1 win at Central Park.

Since then Forfar have went nine games without a win in the league and now sit a place and two points ahead of us although they have played a game more.

The cup win at Gayfield Park come at a cost with Kyle Miller breaking his foot in the first half and he now joins Lewis Milne on the sidelines.

Forfar also have their injury problems and former Central Parker Thomas O'Brien failed a late fitness test ahead of Tuesday night's home league defeat from Peterhead, while Michael Travis limped off in the second half of the 2-0 defeat.

COWDEN AWAY FORM

As we all know Monday night saw an impressive win at Gayfield Park in the William Hill Scottish Cup however our last two away games in Ladbrokes League 1 have seen a 7-0 defeat at Peterhead and a 2-1 loss at Albion Rovers.
