MATCH PREVIEW - DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC (H)
Posted October 30, 2015
Its week 12 in Ladbrokes League 1 and we welcome near neighbours and current league leaders Dunfermline Athletic to Central Park on Saturday for the first home West Fife derby of the season.
Our two early season games with Allan Johnston's side are two games that we will want to forget with our two trips to East End Park seeing us concede twelve goals.
The League Cup match at the start of August saw us go down 5-1 with Faissal El Bakhtaoui and Shaun Byrne both bagging braces along with Joe Cardle with Declan Hughes got our goal.
The match also saw keeper Jamie Sneddon make an unexpected debut at just 17 years old, when he came on for the closing 17 minutes after Michael Andrews was sent off.
Things didn't get better a fortnight later in the league match when we went down 7-1 with El Bakhtaoui scoring twice in the opening eight minutes.
Joe Cardle also hit a brace with Michael Moffat, David Hopkirk and Ryan Wallace also on target for the Pars with Pat Scullion scoring our consolation with a minute to go.
Once again we finished the game with ten men after Craig Johnston was sent off just short of the hour mark.
