Fans will be aware that it was previously intimated that Cowdenbeath FC would not participate in the Development League in 2015/16.  However, we can now confirm that following a further review of the position Cowdenbeath FC have entered the 2015/16 competition.  There are 8 clubs in the League thus each club will now play a total of 21 matches.  

 

The Development League provides the opportunity for regular competitive matches for our younger players such as our Modern Apprentices and potentially players from the Fife Academy.  In addition, the capacity to field over-age players means the Development side also in many ways equates to a reserve XI.
