After an unbeaten pre season build up we kick off the competitive season with a visit from near neighbours Raith Rovers in the opening round of the Petrofac Training Cup on Saturday with a 3 p.m. kick off.

 

Our pre season games saw an away 5-0 win at Gala Fairydean Rovers and home draws with Hearts and Edinburgh City. Three players who featured as trialists in those games Michael Andrews, Luke Armstrong and Sam Orritt are now signed players and will feature in Saturday's squad along with our other summer signings.

 

Rovers had four successive pre season defeats before drawing 1-1 with a Celtic XI at Starks Park on Tuesday night. Hearts (0-2),  Aberdeen (0-2) and Dundee (1-2) won at Starks Park, while last Saturday East Fife beat the Rovers 2-0 at New Bayview.

 

Defender Lewis Toshney will make a swift return to Central Park after being one of a number of new signings new Raith boss Ray McKinnon has made.

 

The match will also see the players wearing our new home kit , supplied by Uhisport, for the first time.

50/50 draw - £1 per ticket.

 

Both programmes and 50/50 draw tickets will be on sale inside the turnstiles on Saturday.
