On Saturday afternoon we welcome Lowland League champions Edinburgh City to Central Park for our final pre season game with a 3 p.m. kick off.

 

So far we have been unbeaten in our build up to the new campaign with a 5-0 win at Gala on Saturday which was followed up by Wednesday's 1-1 home draw with Hearts.

 

After winning their league in convincing fashion City boss Gary Jardine has given his side a stern pre-season build up which so far has featured three games against Ladbrokes Championship and League 2 opponents.

 

Alloa beat them 4-3 at the Indrodrill Stadium despite City leading 2-1 at one stage ,Dumbarton were 1-0 winners in a match played at Spartans Ainslie Park while on Wednesday night they lost 2-0 to Arbroath at Meadowbank Stadium.

 

The Citizens also had a goalless draw at East of Scotland League neighbours Civil Service Strollers while they complete their build up with a home match on Wednesday night against East Stirlingshire.

 

One familiar face in the visitors line up will be former Cowden captain Joe Mbu, welcome back to Central Park Joe!

 

Once again manager Colin Nish is likely to feature some if not all of the trialists who have featured in our recent matches.
