MATCH PREVIEW - DUMBARTON (HOME)

Posted April 3, 2015

Following away defeats to Rangers and Falkirk in the last week we return to home soil on Saturday afternoon as we welcome Dumbarton to Central Park with a 3 p.m. kick off.
Our 1-0 loss at the Falkirk Stadium on Tuesday night confirmed that the Sons will be in the Championship for a fourth successive season.
If we are to emulate them in that feat we need to start winning games and end our run of five successive loses.

The previous three meetings this season has seen an even record for both clubs with a draw and away wins for each side.
Back in early October we fought out a goal less draw at the Rock. However the Sons visit to Central Park in late December, saw a 3-1 win for the visitors.
Current Cowden player Colin Nish opened the scoring for the Sons with Craig Sutherland scoring his only goal for us to level the score.
However two goals in a five minute period from Lee Mair and Garry Fleming gave the Sons the points.
Our return to the Rock in February saw us win 2-1 after Scott Taggart had given the Sons a half time lead; goals from Darren Brownlie and Kudus Oyenuga gave us the points.
Kenny Adamson will be eligible for selection once more after serving a two game ban following his sending off in our last home game with Falkirk.

COWDEN FORM
You have to go back a month since we last took a point in a Championship game following a goal less home game with Rangers.
Our last win came on Valentine’s Day when we beat Saturday’s visitors Dumbarton 2-1 at the Rock.
