Our four game winning run in the development league east came to an abrupt end at Station Park on Tuesday night against league leaders Forfar.
The Loons fielded a more experienced side with several first team squad players and raced into a two goal lead after just eight minutes with goals from Kerr Hay and Gavin Mallin.
Shortly after we lost the services of Aron Lynas who limped off injured after 20 minutes and the home side added two more goals before the break with Mallin and Hay once again on target.
Hay then completed his hat trick midway through the first half and the night got worse soon after when Josh Thomson was knocked unconscious with the game being held up for ten minutes as he received medical attention before being transported to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where he was kept overnight.
When the action resumed Cameron Clark added a sixth goal for the hosts with 20 minutes to go and sixty seconds later Hay got his fourth goal of the night.
Clark and Jack Neave then completed the scoring for the Loons.

Speaking after the match coach Derek Nichloson said "After all our hard work and good performances in our previous games, it was a disappointing result and performance."
The coach continued "Hopefully the feeling after the game will stay with the players to ensure that sort of result won't happen to them again."
The youngsters will quickly get the chance to banish the result as we are due back in action on Friday night when we meet East Stirlingshire at Little Kerse with an 8 p.m. kick off.
