MATCH PREVIEW – FALKIRK (AWAY)

Posted November 27, 2014

This Saturday we take a break from the Championship as we face Falkirk at The Falkirk Stadium in the Fourth Round of the William Hill Scottish Cup with a 3 p.m. kick off.
Twenty years and two days after his greatest cup win as a manager, when Raith Rovers beat Celtic in the League Cup Final, manager Jimmy Nicholl will be looking for another memorable cup win.
In the Third Round we overcome League 1 promotion chasers Forfar 3-1 in what has been their only defeat at Station Park this season.

This will be the fourth meeting of the season with Peter Houston’s side. On the opening day of the Championship we fought out a 2-2 draw at Central Park.
Also in August we travelled to Falkirk for a League Cup tie which ended goal less after 120 minutes with the Bairns eventually going through 4-3 on penalties.
Last month we revisited the Falkirk Stadium for a league game and went down to our heaviest league defeat in a decade when we went down 6-0.

COWDEN FORM
Last Saturday we got a morale boosting 2-1 home win over Livingston which lifted us off the foot of the table.

FALKIRK FORM
After successive defeats, from Falkirk and Rangers, the Bairns got their first win of November last Saturday when won 3-2 at Alloa.
