Goals for loan signings Kudus Oyenuga (2) and Calum Gallagher saw us move off the foot of the Championship table as we took our unbeaten run to three games at the Indodrill Stadium.
Gallagher showed early intent of getting on the score sheet and was denied after just five minutes by keeper Craig McDowell. The Wasps however had the most of the first half chances but were made to pay for their missed opportunities when Oyenuga opened the scoring ten minutes from the break after a long ball from Campbell was partially cleared by Simmons .
We started the second half strongly but it was the Wasps who levelled against the run of play just short of the hour when former Central Parker Liam Buchanan was set up by another former Cowden player Simmons and slotted the ball past Thomson from close range.
The home sides joy was short lived and from kick off we restored our lead with Gallagher beating four home players to set up Oyenuga for his second goal of the afternoon.
The Londoner was then unlucky not to get his first hat trick in Scottish football when a similar move saw the ball in the back of the net but the assistant referee had his flag up for offside.
A deserved third goal did eventually come when Gallagher headed home from a Campbell corner. However the home side pulled a goal back with 12 minutes to go when Greig Spence headed home from a Ferns corner to set up an exciting finale which saw Robbie Thomson and his defence hold firm to earn a well deserved three points.
The result saw us leapfrog the Wasps and Livingston to move into eighth place a point ahead of both sides. Next up for Jimmy Nicholl's side is a trip to the Falkirk Stadium next Saturday to face the Bairns for the third time this season.
