Alloa Away - Match Preview

Posted October 17, 2014

After an enforced weekend off last week we get back into Championship action on Saturday when we face Alloa Athletic at the newly renamed Indrodrill Stadium with a 3 p.m. kick off.
The Wasps currently sit two points ahead of us in the table, having played a game more, so a win would lift us off bottom spot.
In the previous meeting of the sides back in August goals from Kevin Cawley, Greig Spence and former Central Parker Liam Buchanan saw Alloa run out 3-0 winners at Central Park.
New signing Colin Marshall will be available for the trip and could be in line to make his debut.

COWDEN FORM

Before our break from action last Saturday we were two games unbeaten in the Championship following a home 2-1 win over Queen of the South and a goal less draw at Dumbarton.

ALLOA FORM
Alloa are currently on a run of three successive Championship defeats, the latest being a 1-0 loss at home to league leaders Hearts last Saturday.
Their four home points this season have come from a win over Hibernian (2-1) and a draw with Rangers (1-1). Along with Hearts Raith Rovers also won 1-0 at Alloa.
Away from home their only points so far came at Central Park back in August. The games at QOS (0-2), Livingston (0-4), Dumbarton (1-3) and Falkirk (1-2) all saw the Wasps return home pointless.
